Resident Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre in Uyo, Pastor Usman Samson, Sunday, shared food items with the members of the Church amidst the economic hardships facing the country.
This is coming when some pastors called on their congregations to keep paying tithes for them to make heaven, even amidst the economic challenges.
Recall that the rise in the prices of food items and other essential commodities in the market had led to serious economic hardship leaving many Nigerians with extremism in meeting their daily needs.
Amidst the economic challenges, Nigerians resorted to receiving food palliative for survival. Despite this, some pastors including Pastor Adeboye of the Redeem Christian Church of God (RCCG), allegedly, informed their congregations that tithe is more important to be paid, even as they battle for survival.
Interestingly, last week Sunday, Pastor Usman Samson of the Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Uyo, began sharing food items with his church members, immediately after Sunday service. He did the same yesterday, and this is being expected to be emulated by other churches, soon.
Among the food items shared at the church, after service, yesterday were Garri, Yam, and grains.
