Super Eagles Unveil Starting XI As VP Shettima Jets Out To Abidjan To Lend Support
VP Shettima in Ivory Coast
Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, has jetted out of Nigeria ahead of the Cote D'Ivoire 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, final match.

Nigeria's Super Eagles will face the Elephant of Ivory Coast today at the Olympic Stadium of Ebimpé, Abidjan, Ivory Coast's capital city in the 2023 AFCON final match which will kick off at 21:00 (GMT+1).

To lend support for the Super Eagles, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the Federal Republic of Nigeria ordered Vice President Kashim Shettima to stand in for him at the final match.

About an hour ago, Vice President, Kashim Shettima departed Nigeria for Côte d’Ivoire to lend support to the Super Eagles as they take on the host Ivory Coast today in the Africa Cup of Nations Final.

VP Shettima was accompanied to the Ivory Coast by Governor Dikko Umar Radda of Katsina, Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa, and Senator Abiru of Lagos East senatorial district.

In an alike development, Super Eagles have unveiled its starting XI against Elephants of Côte d'Ivoire:

The players chosen by Super Eagles Head Coach, Jose Peseiro, are:

Stanley Nwabali, Semi Ajayi
William Troost-Ekong (c), Calvin Bassey, Zaidu Sanusi, Ola Aina, Alex Iwobi, Frank Onyeka, Adesina Lookman, Samuel Chukwueze, and Victor Osimhen.
