Alhaji Ibrahim Iro's House The residents of a community in Bali Local Government Area of Taraba State have turned the house of a trader, simply identified as Alhaji Ibrahim Iro, into a little Mecca as he crashed the price of spaghetti in his store.
Alhaji Ibrahim Iro is said to have been a major seller of food items, including spaghetti in the community, and he has been selling other food items at the market price.
However, Alhaji Ibrahim decided to crash the price of his spaghetti from the market price of N600 per pasta to N250, after he felt it had become extremely difficult for residents of the community to feed themselves.
On hearing the news, residents of the Taraba community trooped in their number to Alhaji Ibrahim's store to purchase the food item.
It was not clear if Alhaji Ibrahim had the cartons of spaghetti in stock before the marker price soared or if he took the measure to give back to the community, however, The Round Table understands that whatever the case, he has contributed his iota to relieve the pain of the economic hardships biting the residents of Nigeria.
Reacting to the development, residents have called on successful businessmen and billionaires like Aliko Dangote to emulate the gesture of the average man who had the feelings of the poor residents and crashed the price of the spaghetti to cause relief for the people.
Over the past few days, there has been an increase in the prices of food items and other essential commodities in Nigerian markets, inflicting hardships on the residents as people extremely find it difficult to meet their end means. As a result, the Round Table understands that a wrap of spaghetti currently sells between N600 and N800.
