Reasons Erik ten Hag is Not Ready for Manchester United Job

Manager of the Manchester United Football Club, Erik ten Hag seems not to be ready to take up the assignment available to any football manager who intends to lead Manchester United to league competitions. This could be ascertained by looking at his reaction to the wobbling performance of the club in recent football matches.

According to Matthew Holt of the Manchester United Press, Erik ten Hag was quoted to have said something similar to "using defeat as fuel". This is simply a sign of unreadiness to deliver on the resources at hand.

If the defeat Manchester United is going through is seen as fuel, then the fire of losing subsequent games may continue to burn, then where is the hope he promised the fans of Manchester United across the world? Where is the Dream after which the Manchester United arena was short-named "Theatre of Dreams"?

He seems not to be truly disappointed in the results of the games Manchester United has played thus far. It is belittling of the club to have lost six of its ten opening matches in a season filled with dreams, and the head coach is not definite on the way forward.

If Erik ten Hag has observations about the causes of the poor performance of the Manchester United Football Club, he should approach the press and iron it out if he cannot get them resolved with the management. By doing this, the world will not apportion him, blames that are not his. Otherwise, he should rather gear up his coaching technique, consult with retired head coaches of the club, and get to know about the factors that had contributed immensely to the great outings the club had been having, in the past.

Erik ten Hag cannot be giving the world of football less than they expected from the Manchester United and keep telling them how much he feels disappointed after losing games, week in, week outs!

Read what Erik ten Hag told the Journalists after he led Manchester United into a 2-3 defeat at Old Trafford against Galatasaray.

“Yes I can understand, they can expect responsibility from the team, for the performance, for the result with my squad.

“In this moment we don't get the results, they are disappointed, we have to do better.

“As I have said, also I have seen a team with great spirit and also a team that was backed by the crowd from the start until the end.

“In the end, the fans are disappointed as we are. We are also very disappointed.

“But that also has to be fuel and that is the good thing about this team. Every time they find the energy in every game, at the start of every game.

“There was a team with a lot of energy and with a good motivation going into the game.”
