Booa Tinubu and Rauf Aregbesola Popular Lagos-based Islamic Cleric, Sheik Sulaiman Farooq Onikijapa, has prayed for peace to return between the former Osun State Governor and immediate past Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, and his erstwhile political leader and President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Sheik Onikijipa stated this while delivering sermon at the eighth day fidau of the late Osogbo-based Islamic scholar, Sheik Abdul-wahab Banni Afonta which was held at Mandela Freedom Part, Osogbo, Osun State capital.
Onikijipa described Aregbesola as a representative of Islam and Alfas [mallams] in Nigerian politics. He said Aregbesola has no doubt in the leadership of Bola Ahmed Tinubu but devil is currently at work between them. While he prayed for 0eace to quickly return to the midst of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and former Governor Rauf Aregbesola, Sheik Onikijipa stated that very soon the truth would be unveiled.
The Islamic cleric said “Aregbesola is the representative of Muslims and Alfas in politics. He is someone who engages in politics and doesn’t allow politics to take him away from Islam.
“He always has time for Almighty Allah and he stood by Islam. May Almighty Allah continue to be with him.
“The relationship between you and your boss and father, I pray Almighty God to mend it. You accepted him as your boss and father, but sometimes the devil does come in between.
“But one certain thing is that you can turn lies to truth, no one can turn truth to lie. It might take time, but the truth will surely prevail. I pray Almighty Allah will mend the relationship and place you above the wicked beings.
Recall that former Governor Rauf Aregbesola picked a fight with the immediate past Governor of Osun State, Alhaji Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola, who is a cousin to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Unfortunately, after the failure to reconcile the crisis between Aregbesola and Oyetola, Aregbesola expanded the boxing field, aligned with the cabals within the presidency to wage political war against his erstwhile political leader, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Regrettably, Aregbesola made unprintable utterances, in the public, against Bola Ahmed Tinubu, including speculation that Bola Tinubu peed on the body. He also publicly claimed he had spoken to God to bring down Bola Tinubu.
To worsen the seriousness of the conflict, Aregbesola, after unsuccessfully working against Bola Ahmed Tinubu at both the party's primary and general elections, did not participate in the election that produced Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Unfortunately, he did all these, including directing his loyalists to cast their votes against Bola Tinubu, the man he once called his "Next to God".
