In fulfilment of his campaign promise to restore the monthly stipends to physically challenged, Imams, Deputy imams, Muazzins and Ulamas in the state, the State Governor, Dr Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto has approved the constitution of a committee to that effect.
A statement signed by the Press Secretary to Sokoto State governor Malam Abubakar Bawa says the 23- Man committee has the following:

9.Hon Aminu Liman Bodinga Member
10.Malam Nafiu Dan Hajah Member
11.Jamilu Mua'zu kofar kware Member

The committee's terms of reference include:
1.Carry out a rigorous screening of the physically challenged to benefit from the monthly stipends.
2. Introduce measures aimed at ensuring that the genuine and Screened beneficiaries get the stipends.
3.To ensure that only genuine Imams, Deputy imams, Muazzins and Ulamas benefit from the gesture.
The statement further says, the committee is given two weeks to complete its assignment so that beneficiaries can start enjoying the monthly stipends.
