Reverend Fr. Mbaka Former Senate member and 2023 Kogi State governorship aspirant under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Dino Melaye has undermined the role played by the churches and Christian communities during the 2023 general election. He based his claim on an apology that is tendered, on behalf of the Christian communities, by Father Mbaka.
Ejike Camillus Anthony Ebenezer Mbaka who is popularly known as Father Mbaka is a Catholic cleric, musician and the founder of Adoration Ministries, Enugu, Nigeria Reverend.
In a viral video, Father Mbaka was heard speaking in both Igbo and English languages, condemning the Christian communities and the churches over the roles they played during the 2023 general election.
Father Mbaka condemned churches for turning altars into political campaign grounds, instigating against one another, and promoting political crises within the church during the 2023 general election. He said it may be hard for prayers to be answered in some altars because of the political atrocity that has been committed on the altars.
Apologizing to God on behalf of the churches and Christian communities in Nigeria, Father Mbaka kneeled down on his altar, begging God to "forgive Christianity in Nigeria because the religious body got it all wrong in 2023."
He, however, said any pastor, Christian leader or Christian community who want to misunderstand his apology should treat it as his/her problem. He apologized to the God to forgive Christianity because the religious body threaten Nigeria during the 2023 general election.
Reacting to the apology tendered by Father Mbaka, Senator Dino Melaye said "The Church and christian community goofed, hence this apology by a courageous man of God. All of you go and sin no more.
