Lady Die After Competing 21-Fasting Allegedly Ordained By Pastor To Cure Ailment
Rebekah Sekidika
Father of a First-class graduate Rebekah Sekidika, has allegedly said his daughter died after completing a 21-day fasting ordained by their pastor, Pastor Jerry Eze.

Although The Round Table understands that the fasting could not be wholly responsible for her death, the fasting could have failed the purpose for which the lady was encouraged to go.

A source revealed that Rebekah Sekidika who was already battling with Amenorrhea had gone for a procedural investigation at Paragon Clinics in Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital. However, she allegedly died of spinal anesthesia a few days after going through the 21-day fasting.

The purpose of the 21-day fasting, according to the source, is to seek spiritual intervention toward a successful treatment of her ailment.

Amenorrhea is the absence of menstruation, often defined as missing one or more menstrual periods in girls or women within the puberty age. It is mostly caused by menopause, pregnancy, use of birth control, medication side effects, delayed puberty, and stress. Seeking medical treatment has been described as the best treatment for Amenorrhea.

Making case for the possibility of the 21-day fasting responsible for Rebekah's death, a social commentator, Toyin Vilasco, stated "Lengthy fasting can cause low iron level and when her menstrual flow came, the tank of her hemoglobin might have gotten empty, leading to her untimely death.

Jerry Uchechukwu Eze is a Nigerian Pentecostal pastor. Eze is the founder of Streams of Joy International and convener of the New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declaration (NSPPD), an online digital prayer meeting.
