Lack Of Severe Punishment Influencing Financial Crimes, Group Insists
Better Nigeria Support Group (BNSG)
Better Nigeria Support Group (BNSG) has called on all anti-graft agencies to ensure that severe punishment is made for financial crimes and related offenses to rid Nigeria of corruption.

The call was made in a press statement issued to our correspondent, Jabiru Hassan, by the group's National Chairman, Sheikh Mustapha Adamu, in Kano where he opined that severe punishment to offenders in financial mismanagement should be awarded without fear or mercy to serve as a lesson to others.

"Nigeria is a wealthy country but our leaders have failed us through financial crimes where many elected officers are being proved for looting and other financial mismanagement but at the end of the prosecution, nothing is done which is a great setback to the war against corruption ".

Mustapha Adamu disclosed that BNSG canvassed full support for severe punishment to all financial crime offenders because from what is going on, the war against corruption is being sabotaged by anti-graft agencies which comprise EFCC, ICPC, and state anti-corruption agencies established by the state governors.

In conclusion, Sheikh Mustapha advised the present administration to ensure that all appointees who are under prove to be suspended until the end of the judgment to ensure full capacity prosecution is done.
