During an emergency meeting on Friday, March 15, 2025, Galadiman Hadejia, Usman Abdul’aziz, speaking on behalf of the emirate council, expressed deep correlation over the rising insecurity. He implored local government leaders to work closely with security agencies to restore peace.
Ahmed Ari, chairman of the Security Committee of Hadejia Local Government Council, publicized that the stakeholders had approved to impose a curfew from 12:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m., effective immediately. The strength aims to curb violent confronts and safeguard residents.
Additionally, authorities will establish security checkpoints at the six main entry points to Hadejia town to monitor movements and prevent further threats. Joint patrols involving security agencies and vigilante groups will likewise be reinforced to amend surveillance across the affected areas.
