Yesterday, it was expected that President of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi would be visiting the President of Kenya Raila Odinga in a state visit to boost economic ties. However, rather than seeing the Kenyan presidency throwing red party to receive President Ebrahim Raisi, Kenyan presidency was sighted in a high-level emergency meeting at the state House in Nairobi.
Although a government official stated that Raisi's visit to Kenya was aborted because the two countries have not perfected their Memorandum of Understanding around the subject of the visit. Reliably, a source close to Kenyan State House gave a hint to why Ebrahim Raisi's state visit to Kenya was quickly aborted at the late hours to the Visit.
According to our source, President Ebrahim Raisi is banned from visiting Kenya, indirectly because his country, Iran is in mutual economic pally with Russia.
Recall that the leading Western countries including United States of America have banned any Western country from relating with Russia or any country that has pally with Russia. Any erring country is treated to be isolated by other Western countries. Russia was banned because of its ongoing war with the Ukraine.
Considering Kenya as one of the strategic countries in Africa, President Raila Odinga summoned a high ranking members of his executive cabinet into a meeting yesterday to look into the likely consequences of Ebrahim Raisi visiting the country, and the meeting was out in hold.
