CP Aboki Danjuma Imo State Police Command has received a new commissioner of Police, a few hours after the November 11th, 2023 Governorship election was completed in the State by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
INEC conducted the off-cycle governorship election in Imo State, despite threats from the secessionists that the election would not be held in the state. The election was completed on Sunday after Governor Hope Uzodinma of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was returned as the Governor of the state as he scored the highest number of votes cast.
Barely 48 hours after the Governorship election was completed, the Nigeria Police Force redeployed the former Commissioner of Police in the State, Mohammed Ahmed Barde, to the National Headquarters of the Force in Abuja while CP Aboki Danjuma was redeployed to the state.
CP Aboki is the 41st Commissioner of Police in Imo State. He hails from Taraba State and was enlisted as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) in 1992.
CP Aboki is a seasoned Police Officer who is considered with charisma to set the state free of the criminals besieging the state, and likely terrorism that may want to be unfolded by the criminal elements in the state after the governorship election as he is a trained crime fighter.
CP Aboki has served as Deputy Commandant, of Police College, Ikeja (PCI); Deputy Commandant of Police in charge of Finance and Admin, Ondo State Police Command; Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the State Criminal Investigation Department (DCSCID), Niger State Police Command.
