Gov Mbah Appoints Channels TV Journalist to Head Enugu State Broadcasting Service

The Executive Governor of Enugu State, Peter Ndubuisi Mbah has sacked the Managing Director of Enugu State Broadcasting Service (ESBS), replacing him with a current affairs journalist on Channels TV, Mr. Ladi Akeredolu-Ale.

Mr. Ladi, until his appointment by Governor Mbah, was a Controller, Current Affairs at Channels Television in Lagos State. Mr. Ladi's appointment as the head of ESBS was made available to the Round Table in a statement released by the Governor.

Talking about what motivated his appointment, Governor Mbah claimed that he has confidence in Mr. Ladi to change the fortune of ESBS due to his 30 years of experience in journalism which has attracted him several awards.

Governor Mbah restated that he is "hopeful that Mr. Akeredolu-Ale would drive a media revolution, inspire drastic reforms in media innovation and creativity, and turn ESBS media service into one of the best revenue-generating organizations in Enugu state.
