Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri today presided over the valedictory session of the State Executive Council in honour of the Late Senator Inatimi Rufus-Spiff who was a former Commissioner for Education between 2002 to 2003 in the late Chief DSP Alamieyeseigha's time as Governor of the State.
The session which was attended by members of the council as well as former members took place at the State Executive Council Chambers in Government, Yenagoa.
"He was a pillar of support and inspiration to many. He never failed in the assignment given to him. He helped in the building of the old Rivers State. He distinguished himself in every office he occupied, truly a vacuum is being created
"I understand his son is an engineer, the Secretary to the State Government is hereby directed that the son of our compatriot who is lying here before us, by his contributions to the State of Bayelsa, to the Niger Delta region, to the Federal Republic of Nigeria, we cannot compensate him even in death. Therefore, I grant him immediate and automatic employment," Governor Diri stated.
Among those at the valedictory session were Deputy Governor, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, Ambassador Godknows Boladei Igali, Senator Emmanuel Paulker, Senator John Brambaifa, and other family members.
