Federal University Dutse
A female student of the Federal University Dutse (FUD), Jigawa State, has been arrested by the police in connection with the m¥rder of her newborn baby.
The suspect, identified simply as Gladys, allegedly thr€w the newborn from the toilet window of a three-story hostel building.
The disheartening incident occurred on Monday, June 10 at the Ethiopia block of the new female hostel, on the school campus.
It was gathered that the suspect is a 200-level student from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.
Note: As an undergraduate and someone believed to be literate, what had stopped this lady from reasoning beyond such crime? Let for instance agree there might be issues surrounding her pregnancy like the baby not having a responsible father or no particular guy or man to father the baby, considering how ladies run the street, why couldn't this lady take the baby to a motherless home?
Has she even discussed this with her parents at home, did they reject her and the pregnant?
