GUSAU, the capital city of Zamfara State has been thrown into a state of silence, sorrow, and fear as heavily armed bandits attacked a mosque in the city, kidnapping an uncountable number of worshippers.
The bandits allegedly struck the capital city 9f Zamfara, GUSAU, when a large number of Muslim faithful were observing the famous congregational prayer, Tahajud.
Tahajud is a special Muslim prayer session observed through the night to seek forgiveness from God and seek his favor. It is observed privately or in the public but clerics believe it is more rewardable to join the prayer in a public session.
It is, however, famously observed across the Muslim communities during the last 10 days of the holy month of Ramadan.
The Round Table also reports that some suspected gunmen have reportedly killed a trader in the Samaru area of GUSAU who was identified as Ashiru Nagoma popularly called "Mai Shop".
Ashiru was killed in the early hours of Tuesday by the gunmen who allegedly took away his wife and some other people in his house located behind the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) station in Samaru, Gusau, Zamfara State.
