The Rivers State Commissioner for Justice and Attorney-General of the state, Professor Zacchaeus Adangor has resigned his appointment from the Rivers State Executive cabinet led by Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
Prof. Adangor cited "personal reason" for his resignation. He is the first cabinet member in Rivers State to resign his appointment following the political hostility between the political godfather of the state, Nyesom Wike, and his successor, Siminalayi Fubara.
Although Prof. Zacchaeus did not announce his defection from the People's Democratic Party (PDP), it could be recalled that 26 of the 32 members of the Rivers State House of Assembly defected from PDP and joined All Progressives Congress (APC) on Monday following the political crisis between Governor Fubara and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike.
