President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has Vice President Kashim Shettima to lead the delegation by the Federal Government of Nigeria to the final match of Nigeria's Super Eagles in Ivory Coast.

A statement released by the Senior Special Assistant to The President on Media & Communications, Office of The Vice President, Stanley Nkwocha, read "Recognizing the unifying power of football and the immense role the Super Eagles play in fostering national pride and unity, the President, His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, believes that Vice President Shettima's presence at the finals alongside the delegation is a testament to the government's unwavering support for the team and its dedication to their success."

Nigeria will play against the Elephant of Cote D'Ivoire in the final match of Cote D'Ivoire 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON.

President Tinubu urged Nigerians home and abroad to unite and give maximum support to the Super Eagles as they face their Ivorian counterpart in the final stage of the 2023 AFCON at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Abidjan on Sunday, February 11.

President Tinubu charged the Super Eagles players to make their fellow Nigerians and the world proud by bringing home the AFCON Cup.

Nigeria first met Cote D'Ivoire in the group stage of the ongoing AFCON where Super Eagles defeated the Elephant of Cote D'Ivoire with a goal to nil.
