Burning Shanties around Alaba International Market Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin has disagreed with an online news platform, Peoples Gazette which has earlier reported that Alaba International Market, Lagos is on fire.
The news which was later labelled as 'Fake' by the Police has attracted thousands of reactions with many accusing that the allegedly burnt market was a consequence of what the indigenous Yoruba people in Lagos has in plan for the Igbos who blindly opposed tye presidential ambition of the Lagos State former Governor and tye president-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Reacting to the news report on the Alaba International Market, Hundeyin gave the breakdown of really happened in the area.
He stated that police officers from Ojo Division raided some shanties around Alaba International Market and made some arrests with some weapon s recovered from the arrested suspects. Then, the shanties were thereafter set on fire, and not the Alaba International Market.

While reacting to the Peoples Gazette news, Hundeyin said "This is a false narrative! Acting on credible information, police officers from Ojo Division raided shanties around the market, arrested suspected criminals and recovered some weapons. The shanties were thereafter set on fire. Alaba Int’l Market is NOT on fire!
