Davido Nigerian social media spaces have been bubbling since afternoon when Nigerian music star, Davido was heard in a trending video clip where he called Grammy Award winner, Burna Boy and some other artistes 'new cats'.
In the video clip, Davido was heard saying "Wizkid and I were the first young artistes to blow up and it feels good seeing 'new cats' like Burna Boy, Rema, Fireboy, Mayorkun and Asake kllling it now."
This statement has disrupted orderliness on the assembly of Nigerian music lovers and, mostly followers of the mentioned artistes. Some of them fully agreed with Davido, many partially agreed with him while great number of the Nigerian music fans disagreed.
Popular Twitter commentator, DanielRegha was among with partial agreement with Davido. He said "Davido is partially right, Burna just started dominating the industry which justifies Davido's "New cat" statement; Burna is nowhere near Wizkid or Davido even with a Grammy win, but putting Burna in the same list with upcomers like Rema, Fireboy & Mayorkun is truly insulting.

Osun Wailer (Suave_Sultan1) also disagreed with Davido. He digged out a 2011 tweet where Davido begged for Burna Boy's PIN.

Ghanians social media influencer, ILatif was in agreement with Davido, he said "Saying Burna Boy is bigger than Davido because Burna has a grammy is like saying Julian Alvarez is bigger than Cristiano Ronaldo because he won a World Cup. Doesn’t make se#se.
AsiwajuLerry was also in support with Davido. He said "Burna boy dropping songs since 2012 does not make him same set with Wizkid, Davido and Olamide.
Seyi Vibez has been dropping songs since 2018 but nobody calls him set with Rema, Fireboy and so on.

The space is hot and, as well interesting. They said it is the era of Burna Boy but Davido said he is one of the two fathers. Although many netizens criticized Davido for leaving out Olamide his mate.
