Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume has disclosed that boards of two Federal agencies, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration & Control (NAFDAC) are not affected by the recent order given by the President of the country, Bola Ahmed Tinubu to dissolve Federal boards of ministries, departments and agencies.
Reasons for the exemption of the two boards from the dissolution order was not made known, but insiders said the presidency may seems to be okay with the activities of the two boards which could be a result of the efficiency of the board members.
According to the Senator Akume, "Further to the directive on the dissolution of Boards of Federal Government Parastatals, Agencies, Institutions and Government-owned Companies, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation has clarified that the Boards of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration & Control (NAFDAC) are exempted from such dissolution.
