Senator Uba Sani The Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani has set up a committee to provide palliatives to cushion the hardship experience that is posed by tye removal of oil subsidy.
The decision was taken at a meeting between the government, labour Representatives and the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN).
Governor Sani, after resolution from the meeting, setup two committee with one assigned to formulate procedures to cushion the effect of the oil subsidy removal.
One committee is for palliatives while the second committee, being headed by the Deputy Governor of the state, Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, will handle the government-labour relationship.
According to Senator Sani, "In a bid to ensure harmonious government-labour relations to fastrack the delivery of services to the citizens, l chaired a consultative meeting with representatives of organized labour and Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN).
"The meeting which was held in a convivial atmosphere reviewed government-labour relations in Kaduna State, identified areas of cooperation and set up an Adhoc Comittee on Palliatives to fashion ways of cushioning the effect of fuel subsidy removal on the citizens of the State. A Standing Committee on Government-Labour Relations was also set up. It is headed by the Deputy Governor, H.E. Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe," the Governor stated.
