Gov Adeleke Rubbishes Another Aregbesola's Legacy in Osun Says It is Infamous

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has approved the appointment of 29 new Permanent Secretaries in the Osun State Civil Service. This was contained in a memo obtainable by the RoundTable which emanated from the Office of the Head of Service, Office of the Governor, Osun State.

The appointment which takes immediate effect, was described by the state government as a move that puts an end to the infamous era of Coordinating Directors serving as Accounting Officers of Ministries, Departments and Agencies of the Osun State Government, as constituted by the administration of the former Governor of the state, Rauf Aregbesola and sustained by his immediate successor and immediate past Governor of Osun state, Adegboyega Oyetola.

Oyetola had lately made a move to put an end to the era of using Coordinating Director in the state's Civil Service when he appointed some Permanent Secretaries in the state but those appointed by him were stopped by the administration of Ademola Adeleke, immediately he took over the mantle of authority in the state in November 2022.

Names of the 29 newly appointed Permanent Secretaries are:

4. Akeem A. Bello

5. Yetunde A. Esan (Mrs.)

6. Kehinde J. Odediran (Mrs.)

7. Bashir I. Bello (Engr.)

8. Isiaka A. Adekunle (Dr.)

9. Mrtala A.K. Jimoh

10. Mobolaji F. Olaoye (Dr.)

11. Modupe O. Irelewuyi (Mrs)

12 Ayodele O. Babalola

13. Olufemi Ogundun

14. Moruf A. Olawale

15. Gbemisola Fayoyin (Mrs.)

16. Abayomi Oni (Dr.)

17. Olawuni T. Oladele

18. Sunday O. Fadele

19. Oladapo O. Fasina

20. Olusoji S. Wojuade

21. Abimbola B. Babatunde (Mrs)

22. Rufus A. Oyegbami

23. Mudasiru O. Oyedeji

24. Taiwo O. Oladunjoye (Mrs)

25. Oludsola S. Ajao (Engr)

26. Bukola O. Jolayemo (Mrs)

27. Fatai T. Adekilekun

29. Adeoye R. Popoola

According to the state government, their swearing-in ceremony will take place today Tuesday 30th May, 2023 at the Local Government Service Commission, Abere, at 4.00pm.

In a related news, Governor Ademola Adeleke has equally approved immediate appointment of Surveyor Soladoye Abioye as the substantive Surveyor General and Mr. Ijiyemi Ijidele as the substantive Statistician General in Osun State.

Also, Governor Ademola Adeleke, in the same vein, approved that the rights and privilege of a Permanent Secretary in the State Civil Service be accorded to the Director General of the Osun State Broadcasting Corporation (OSBC). The rights and privileges is directed to commence with the incumbent Director General of the state's media outlets.
