Anambra State command of the Nigeria Police Force has encouraged people of Anambra State to go about their daily business activities, and stop fearing the forceful enforcement of the Sit-at-Home order that has been given by the agents of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

Recall that the diaspora leader of the terrorist group, Simon Ekpa has declared about two-week long Sit-at-Home order in the five Southeastern state in the month of August. This is aside from the weekly Sit-at-Home order that has been in enforcement by the terrorist group, on Mondays.

According to a report by tye Anambra State Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), the Police Public Relations Officer of the command, Mr Tochukwu Ikenga commended the Anambra residents for reinforcing them with information in the fight against the terrorism being posed by the IPOB.

"Anambra State Police Command has commended residents of the state for their supportive role to the command by way of furnishing it with reliable intelligent information, ABC reported.

Mr Ikenga who explained how reliable information they get from Anambra residents has been helping the police in carrying out their mandate of ensuring protection of life and property of the state residents, urged them to sustain it.

Speaking on behalf of the command, Mr Ikenga assured the state residents to go about their legitimate business without fear of molestation, saying that the preventive policing of the command as well as collaborative efforts of sister security agencies have brought about improved security in Anambra State which can be felt by all.

Recently, Police and some local security outfits in Anambra State joined hands and launched clean-up attack against the perpetrators of the terrorist act in the state.
