EFCC in Enugu The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, has charged youths in Enugu to shun all forms of internet and computer-related fraud.
The Commander, Enugu Zonal Command, ACE Aliyi Naibi gave the charge May 12, in a paper he presented at a sensitization programme organized by Comforting Africa in Collaboration with Oxford Secondary School Obollo Affor, Enugu State
Naibi who spoke through CSE Idoko Etubi Stephen lamented that the unbridled quest for wealth had forced many young people into criminality. He however advised them to have a change of heart and used the cyber space for positive pursuits.
Naibi reiterated the Commission’s commitment to stamping out all forms of economic and financial crimes, revealing that over 500 youth have been prosecuted and convicted in the zone.
He called on those still involved in cybercrime to desist or risk arrest and prosecution by the Commission.
