The Vice-Chancellor, Bayero University Kano announced that the institution was ranked as number 5 after the 2024 Universities assessment and ranked 2nd in terms of international outlook.
He disclosed this at the 38th convocation ceremony of the institution held on Saturday, March 2nd, 2024 where the University graduated 11,284 students from 18 faculties. He reassured that the institution would continue to maintain its status quo with optimum results.
During the ceremony, 180 students graduated with First Class honors. The school also conferred higher degrees and postgraduate diplomas on 5,432 graduates who completed their studies at the University.
The convocation was graced by the Minister of Education, Professor Tahir Mamman; the Senate President, Godswil Akpabio while the Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jibrin and the President of the African Development Bank, Akinwumi Adesina, were conferred with Doctorate degrees for their utmost contribution to the development of education in the country.
