Bishop Oyedepo Founder and General Overseer of the Living Faith Ministry, popularly known as "Winners Chapel International," Bishop David Oyedepo has spoken on the leaked phone conversation between him and the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi.
A leaked phone conversation flooded the social media space yesterday, unveiling the discussion between Mr. Peter Obi and Bishop Oyedepo on the eve of the election.
In the leaked phone conversation, Mr. Peter Obi was heard begging Bishop Oyedepo to help him talk to his church congregation for them to cast their votes for him, in an election Mr. Peter Obi describe as "Religious War".
Today, while speaking on the altar of his church, Bishop Oyedepo did not discard the leaked phone conversation. However, Bishop Oyedepo insisted that no one can ever tell him what to say
in this world.
Interestingly, rather than denying having the conversation, Bishop Oyedepo said he will be ready to give advice to any politician that still come to him as he has been doing for them before. Bishop Oyedepo simply regarded the phone conversation between him and Mr. Peter Obi as an advice.
He said, “Nobody had ever told me what to say in this world. No.
“I have never campaigned for anybody or spoken on anybody’s behalf and I will not do that till I go to heaven.
“There is no (political) party in this country that didn’t come to me for prayers and advice.
“I advised them, some, they didn’t take. Those who chose to take it, they see results; those who said no, they are going about it (laughs).
““If you still come again, I will still tell you, it doesn’t change.”
