CJN Kayode Ariwoola, Other Justices A news making the trend on Nigerian social media spaces claim that the Authority of United States of America, U.S.A has allegedly placed visa ban on some Nigerian veteran justices.
The justices who were said to have been allegedly banned by the United States of America from entering into the country include the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Kayode Ariwoola, and six other prominent legal icons in the country.
Although the source failed to state the reason cited by the U.S.A authority before banning the said Nigerian legal icons, the source claimed that the Justices learned about their U.S.A Visa ban when attempting to attend a seminar in the state.
The news which was titled "U.S PLACE VISA BAN ON CJN ARIWOOLA, NWEZE, MUSA DANTTIJO, THREE OTHERS" allegedly claimed that "The U.S Government has placed a visa ban on the Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Olukayode Ariwoola, and six others members of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. Amongst them are Justices Musa Dattijo Mohammed, Centus Nweze all of the Supreme Court. The Justices were billed to attend a Seminar in the U.S and were all denied entry. Justice Kudirat Kekere Ekun was the first to be informed of her ban."
Were Nigerians Justices Really Banned by the U.S.A?
Findings by the Round Table proves the tending news to be false, and mere fabrication of unfound information.
Visa banning is a personal treatment, and it is diplomatically handled by every party concerned. Hence, there is no how the information would have been leaked to the publisher of the information, while claiming that majority of those suffering the visa have not learned about it.
Besides, if the Chief Justice of Nigeria and majority of the alleged people contained in the Visa Ban story really want to attend such a professional seminar in the United States, they would have used their diplomatic passport which is free of such ban, and cedes them from whatever allegations the states may have against them.
The information is therefore false and lacks merit of authentication.
