Bandits in Kogi The atmosphere is still high and dusty in Kogi State as heavily armed bandits intercepted a bus plying the road.
The incident, though with sketchy reports, has led to the killing of the attacked bus driver while all the passengers on the bus were kidnapped and taken away to an unknown destination. However, our source stated that a kid, a female, was left behind at the scene of the incident, and the report about her paternity with the kidnapped victims is still very scanty.
Our source revealed, "The bandits were firing stray bullets while coming out of the forest. The bullet hit the driver who died on the spot. The bus lost control and bus entered into the bush, and stopped by the roadside.
The source further stated that "after the bus stopped, the bandits took away all the passengers in the bus except a kid who was standing alone at the spot of the incident.
The incident has caused fears for travelers plying the road as insecurity menace becomes worsen along Kogi, Kaduna, and Nasarawa roads leading to Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.
