His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdulwasiu Omogbolahan Lawal, Abisogun II, Oniru of Iru Kingdom in Lagos is in the news again after he was sighted in a trending video clip with a popular Yoruba songwriter and rapper, Olamide Gbenga Adedeji who is popularly known as Olamide in the entertainment industry.
Oba Omogbolahan was seen on the stage being greeted by Olamide at an event organized by the Lagos State Government.
Tye video clip which had generated mixed reactions from the netizens showed Olamide first stretching his hand to exchange pleasantry with the King. Although Oba Omogbolahan accepted his hand but withheld it and put his second hand on Olamide's back, a sign that meant two things.
Putting back on the back of a younger one may stand for a eulogy to praise and appreciate the district effort of the younger one. Also, it may be a sign language to tell a younger one to correct his mistake, which in this case might mean Oba Omogbolahan was informing Olamide to Prostrate, which is a traditional way of greeting elderly ones in Yoruba land.
As Oba Omogbolahan tapped Olamide on the back, he went down in haste prostration and Oba Omogbolahan was seen whispering something into his ear.
