In 1987, the book was made into a popular miniseries directed by David Orere and aired on Nigerian television by the Nigerian Television Authority. Amazon has listed Things Fall Apart as one of the 100 essential books to read in a lifetime.
The film featured well-known actors, with Edochie playing the main character Okonkwo and Justus Esiri as Obierika. Nkem Owoh and Sam Loco Efe had indorsing roles.
Things Fall Apart get out in 1958 when Achebe was unbiased 28 years old. It is considered one of the most significant works of African literature, translated into over 50 languages and selling more than 10 million copies.
