16-year-old victim of rqping The Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested a secondary school teacher in Osun State after he was alleged of rqping, impregnating, and attempting to abort the pregnancy of a Junior Secondary School 2 student in the school where he teaches.
Following a complaint received by the DSS from a human rights activist in the state, Citizen Lola Wey, the secondary school teacher, Akanni Sunday, who worked at the Tourchlife Premier School, Aga, Ido Osun, Osun State, was alleged to have impregnated his JSS2 student, Amudat Ahmed.
Akanni was also accused of rqping before the pregnancy and attempted to abort the pregnancy of the 16-year-old JSS2 student, Anifat.
Anifat, when speaking to the newsmen, revealed that Akanni Sunday rqped her when she went to his house to collect her textbook.
“Our teacher, Akanni Sunday, said I should come to his house to collect my French notebook. When I got there, he took me to his room and I later realized that he was alone at home. I shouted for help but nobody was there to help me. That was how he removed my clothes and rqped me," Anifat stated.
