A car mechanic based in the United States of America has revealed a button in the cars that no driver should attempt to press while driving. He said attempting to press a certain button while driving will make the driver fall asleep and this poses danger to the road users.
Express UK described the car technician, Scotty Kilmer as a veteran in the profession he has been doing for over 55 years. Kilmer runs one of the most-watched car channels in the United States of America where he shares useful information concerning cars.
Kilmer talks critically on which buttons are not to be pressed under some circumstances, and even tutored his followers on which cars to avoid for safety.
His recent channel broadcast which was titled “Never press this button while driving” discussed a certain button that drivers should avoid pressing if they are driving, especially on a long trip as it may put them asleep.
Kilmer revealed “Today, I’m going to show why you should run your air conditioning on fresh air, not recirculation. Now, recirculation is fine when it is really hot outside and you want to cool the car down faster. You will get sleepy from not having enough oxygen, so leave it on fresh when you’re going down a highway for long trips.”
Kilmer, however, stated that the recirculation could be considered fine if the outdoor temperatures are sulfurous, although he recommended the rear windows be slightly opened.
“Leave it on recirculation but crack one of the rear windows. That is plenty enough air coming in to keep you awake while driving.
