'Anti-party' - reactions as Bashir el-Rufai endorses Edo PDP guber candidate | The Round Table Social media reactions have trailed the endorsement of Asue Ighodalo, governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo state, by Bashir, son of Nasir el-Rufai, former governor of Kaduna state.
Bashir has been a supporter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Bola Tinubu.
Monday Okpebholo is the APC governorship candidate in the September 21 election in Edo state.
But in a post on X on Thursday, Bashir mentioned Ighodalo along with a gold medal emoji — used to signify victory or achievement.
