Lucky Aiyedatiwa Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa has revealed what President Bola Ahmed Tinubu told him yesterday when he visited him at his Bourdillion private residence in Ikoyi, Lagos State.
Recall that The Round Table earlier reported that Aiyedatiwa visited President Tinubu on Thursday, December 28, 2023, even though there are mixed reports of the visitation.
However, Governor Aiyedatiwa has disclosed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu expressed sadness over the demise of the late Ondo State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.
Rotimi Akeredolu died on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, after a prolonged ailment.
Governor Aiyedatiwa, speaking after meeting with President Bola Tinubu on Thursday, said the president felt for him and the good people of Ondo State as Aiyedatiwa claimed President Tinubu said some words which mean "something strange has happened in Ondo State."
Revealing what President Tinubu told him, Aiyedatiwa said, "It was a paradox, a mixed feeling, he commiserated with me, even though he put a call through yesterday to condole with us in Ondo State, through me, he still did the same today, and also wished me well that there can never be a vacuum, one era ends, another one begins, but still within same administration and that’s the first time such a thing will be happening in Ondo State, to have a transition within an administration, due to the demise of the governor.
"So, it’s basically an advice and to also encourage me to take charge and mobilize everybody, one administration that we are known for. So to pull everybody together to work together and see how we can move the state forward.”
