Bola Ahmed Tinubu Amidst doubts and criticisms from the opposition quarters, the Nigerian president-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has departed the country for Europe.
Although some citizens on social media platforms were insinuating that Tinubu is visiting Europe to take care of his health ahead of the May 29th inauguration of his presidential tenure, facts have emerged from the inner caucus of the Tinubu's political dynasty revealing the reason behind his trip to tye Europe.
According to a press release by Tinubu's personal media aide, Tunde Rahman, Tinubu's trip to Europe is not connected to medical treatment but he chose to jet out of Nigeria for two cogent reasons.
1) Distraction and Pressures
Tunde Rahman stated in his press release that Tinubu's trip to Europe is decided to allow him "finetune the transition plans and programmes, and his policy options with some of his key aides without unnecessary pressures and distractions.
Like him or not, the pressures some citizens who are in opposition to his presidential success exert on anything that has to do with Tinubu May cause distraction and ignite uncivilized action if the attitudes are not manage in such a way that Tinubu has done.
He is the President-elect, and very soon he will be sworn-in as the President, number one citizen and father to all residents and citizens of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, he is expected nothing less than doing everything possible to ensure peaceful coexistence in the country. If truly Tinubu's reason for traveling abroad is to ensure peace and avoid unnecessary distraction, sobeit, his trip is only being condemned presumably by the fifth columnists.
2) Boosting National Economy
Tunde Rahman in his press release also stated that "during the visit, the President-elect will engage with investors and other key allies with the goal of marketing investment opportunities in the country and his administration’s readiness to enable a business-friendly climate through policies and regulations.
One thing is sure, when it comes to administrative competence for national development, give it to Tinubu. He has done it before and if his trip to the Europe is said to be development-oriented, sobeit, with all we know about him, Tinubu is someone whose credentials speaks to ever-readiness for anything that may bring development to his course.
For this fact, if he is said to have traveled to Europe in hunting for investors, it would be difficult for anyone to dispute it because he has ever since promised to hit the ground running, immediately after his inauguration as the sixteenth President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
