Bola Ahmed Tinubu President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu will be embarking on his first official trip out of the country since he was sworn in as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on May 29th, 2023. The president will be off to France to attend a Summit, a presidential source disclosed to the SaharaReporters.
The presidential source revealed that "BAT is to attend the Global Financing Pact Summit in Paris, France, next week. This will be his first official trip outside Nigeria since his assumption of duty as President.
However, SaharaReporters claimed that another source revealed to it that President Tinubu will also use the France trip to see his medical team for what is called a follow-up medical checkup. This has prompted the Round Table to contact some presidential sources for clarification on the said trip.
Our source debunked the medical treatment part of the story but confirmed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will be part of the 'Global Financing Pact Summit in Paris, France' which holds between June 22 and 23, 2023.
Our source further shed light on the summit stating that "The Summit which holds between June 22 and 23 is a New Global Financial Pact which has aims of building a new consensus for a more inclusive international financial system to fight inequalities, finance the climate transition and bring us closer to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
The source disclosed to the Round Table that the report on Medical Treatment in France is another mere political statement from those that are yet to wake up to the reality that the election period is over.
"In the past, any time Tinubu is going to London, he was going to meet his Doctor. Now, after the election for those that are still campaigning after losing the election, Tinubu's medical team has migrated from London to France. These people should wake to the reality that the election period is over, and it is time for governance," our source stated.
