Italian hospital fire Three elderly people were killed by a fire that gutted an Italian hospital located in the town of Tivoli, close to Rome, overnight. The fire burnt down the entire floor of the hospital, local media agencies reported.
The number of casualties would have been worse but the timely arrival of the fire brigade helped in saving life of the people trapped in the hospital.

The cause of the fire outbreak has not been unveiled as the fire brigade claimed the fire has now been put out.
The news agency gives the breakdown of the dead as two men and two women who are aged 76 and 86.
