Paul Okoye, one of the pair singers popularly known as PSqaure and Olawale Oloforo who is widely known as Brymo have exchanged words over the ordeal of Seun Kuti, son of the late African music legend, Fela Kuti Anikulapo.

Recently, a video surfaced online where there was an altercation between Seun Kuti and a police officer. Seun was seen in the video slapping the police officer who was on uniform on his call to duty. This is against the law of the country and it amounts to assault.

Consequence to this, the Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba ordered immediate arrest of Kuti while he also insisted that a full blown investigation should commence into unveiling what might have transpired between Seun and the police officer before it lead to the assault of the police officer.

Reacting to the news, PSquare took to his Twitter handle, pleading with the Nigerian Police on behalf of Seun Kuti. PSquare went further to claim that "it seems Seun's family was in danger, hence the altercation"

Psquare's statement reads:

Quite an unfortunate incident and from reports, it seems Seun’s family was in danger hence the altercation.

"When you understand what happens when a man is put in a situation to protect his family from any form of danger, our emotions get the better of us.

"I ask and plead that the #NigerianPoliceForce accept our unreserved apologies for the unfortunate outburst and tamper justice with mercy.

However, not satisfied with PSquare's intervention, Brymo asked PSquare to withhold his apology.

Brymo told PSqaure to stop begging police on Seun's behalf because PSquare may later brag with the scenario. He said Psquare's empty for Seun Kuti is a fake one.

Brymo's words read Bros leave am make him deal with him matter. Make una no reduce man to begger because of matters wey go dey resolved anyways. why we dey beg ? please do not show any faux empathy for Seun Kuti, you don’t care. he’ll be fine!!. Later “we help am beg police. Drop it!"

Recall that, few months ago, during the presidential election, Brymo and Seun Kuti were among few Yoruba music stars who challenged PSquare for playing tribal bigot with the Presidential contest between the now President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu; former vice president, Atiku Abubakar and Mr. Peter Obi who was supported by PSquare.
