The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory has set a date for the ruling on the case brought before it by the presidential candidates of People's Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar and Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi.

September 6th has been chosen by Judges of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal as a date to deliver Judgement on the case that arise after the conduct of the February 23rd, 2023 presidential election in Nigeria.

Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was announced winner of the presidential election which was keenly contested by about four political parties, the first of its kind since Nigeria returned to the democratic system of governance in 1999.

Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi are in the court laying claim to the victory recorded by Bola Tinubu in the February 23rd, 2023 presidential election.
