Chief Olusegun Obasanjo and Bola Ahmed Tinubu Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has admonished the President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu on projects to be prioritized for him to be proud of delivering good governance.
Obasanjo who was speaking during the week at a Conference in Abuja, organized by Nextier and the Ibadan School of Governance and Public Policy insisted that the incoming administration of President-elect, Bola Tinubu must do everything in his capacity to reunite the nation.
Obasanjo used the platform provided by the conference which has the theme: “From Elections to Governance and Performance," urging Tinubu to think out of the box to fix the disunity, massive divisiveness, economic woes, and irregularities in the public service sector.
Chief Obasanjo insisted that he was too old to keep quiet on the issue of the nation. He lamented the huge debt burden on the nation and tasked Tinubu's incoming administration that it was only the facilitation of national moral rearmament and reconciliation, that had the potential to bring about healing and assuage Nigerian youths who were angered by the shortcomings of the last elections.
Chief Obasanjo has never given his support to the President-elect, Bola Tinubu since the 2023 electioneering season began, and he has been a hardened supporter of the presidential campaign of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi.
