The Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASRRA) Card has disclosed all the requirements and 60 authorized locations where residents of the state can apply for the newly introduced “Lagos Smart Card”.

Lagos Smart Card serves as both a means of identification and payment card which could be used on all payment platforms and digital banking facilities across the country.

The Lagos State government claimed it established LASRRA with a mission to identify and register all residents of the state for efficient planning and allocation of resources.

Rolling out the 60 accredited locations where residents can apply for the Lagos Smart Card, a memo released by the State Government revealed that applicants would need proof of identity which could be by the presentation of an International Passport, Driver’s License, Permanent Voter’s Card, National ID Card or any other means of identification that the system may consider satisfactory.

Also, it was stated that an applicant is required to present proof of his address in Lagos State by presenting the Rent Receipt or Utility Bill of their residential address.

To validate the registration, the applicants are encouraged to visit the Validation Portal on their smartphones to make any change to their profile. However, applicants with no smartphone can still approach any of the accredited registration centers with the original copies of the profile they intend to change.

To know when your Lagos Smart Card is ready for pick up, the management disclosed that applicants can dial a short code *347*641# on the phone number used during the registration. The card will be available for pickup at the local government area where you register. The applicants are required to walk up to their local government of registration to pick up their Lagos Smart Cards when the status reveals that it is ready.
