I've joined the political grand master' - Ex-PDP chieftain hails Tinubu after joining APC Chief Ossai Ossai, the former member of the House of Representatives, has officially defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
This decision was made public on Wednesday, March 5 in Abuja, where he was formally welcomed into the APC by the party’s National Secretary, Sen. Ajibola Bashiru.
Ossai, who previously represented Ndokwa East in the House of Representatives, expressed his confidence that his entrance into the APC, along with other influential figures from the PDP in Delta, would weaken the party in the state.
He noted that the departure of key figures like Senator Ned Nwoko would further diminish PDP’s presence in the state.
Describing President Bola Tinubu as his mentor and role model, Ossai referred to Tinubu as a “grand master of politics.”
This also trended:
“I have come to join the political grand master whom I have chased over the years as a role model to add to whatever he is doing to better this nation,” Ossai said.
Addressing concerns about internal divisions within the APC in Delta state, Ossai acknowledged the being of caucuses but expressed his intention to unite them to ensure the party’s success in the 2027 elections.
“I have left the PDP, it is behind me now, I am for Nigeria, not for political parties. I have come to join the APC to build the country in the relevancy of all,” he added.
The APC National Secretary, while receiving Ossai, congratulated him for joining the party and condemned the PDP for its internal crises, declaring that Nigerians could not trust a party incapable of administering its affairs to lead the country.
