Muslim Graduands at Igbo-Eze Enugu State Southeastern part of Nigeria is a predominantly Christian-dominated region, so much that it is rare to sight a Muslim, and if you find one out of every 100 people, that one is probably not an indigene.
If not for the recent development in the Southeastern part of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, which is dominated by Igbo-speaking people, many people often dwell in the belief that there is no a single indigenous Igbo person in the entire Southeastern region comprising of Anambra State, Enugu State, Ábíá State, Ebonyi State and Imo State.
However, a recent development in Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area of Enugu State seems to have change the narration.
According to a Southeast indigenous Muslim, Uthman Isa Tochukwu, one if the Islamic schools in Igbo-Eze just graduated young ladies who have completed Qur'anic education. This could be considered a rare breed in the Eastern jungle of the nation.
Uthman said "Our sisters from one of the Islamic Schools in Igbo-Eze South LGA of Enugu State who graduated today from their Qur’anic School. All the graduands are Muslims from Enugu State. Alhamdulillah.
