Ilorin to Jebba Road The major road connecting Ilorin to Jebba, through which many commuters travel between majority of the Southwestern part of the country and the Northern part have been disconnected following early morning heavy downpour, today.
A road network linking Shao town and Malete area of Ilorin was disconnected early today, following heavy downpour on Wednesday morning. The culvert connecting the two areas was washed away by flood.
The development has disconnected many commuters plying the road. However, Kwara State government has deployed staff of its Ministry of Works and Transport to the sire of the incidence.
While attempting to quickly embark on the construction of a new culvert, the Karaoke State government is working to prevent motorists from using the road, with the provisions of alternative routes to tye commuters.
According to Kwara State government, "The Ministry is taking immediate steps to provide temporary access road to commuters in the busy route, pending the construction of a new bridge.
Ilorin to Jebba road is one of tte busiest road networks across the 36 states in the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
