Peter Ndubushi Mbah Tye Executive Governor of Enugu State, Peter Ndubuisi Mbah has called on the Chief of Defense Staff, General Lucky Irabor to do everything possible to ensure Enugu is a safe and secure place for economic activity to thrive.
Governor Mbah made this known after meeting with the Chief of Defense Staff, General Lucky Irabor, military chiefs in Enugu State, tradition rulers, Chief Security Officers and Stakeholders in the state at the Enugu State Government House, Enugu.
Governor Mbah had stated that for economic growth and development to be achieved in Enugu State, peace, safety and security of the people must be certain.
After the meeting, Governor Mbah said "In our plan to grow our economy and increase our GPD from $4.4 billion to $30 billion, security of lives and properties is paramount.
"We discussed the best way to ensure that Enugu State is peaceful, secure and safe, to enable us work for our people without hitches.
The governor called on the people 9f the state to join hands with him in moving the state further. He said:
"My dear people of Enugu State, my promise to you is that I'll make our state a home you will all be proud of. Therefore, I urge you all to come home and invest in Enugu because this is our only home.
