The Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has directed all the civil servants in the state to revert their statutory positions to April 2022.
In the five Executive Orders freshly rolled out by the administration of Rev fr. Hyacinth Alia, all the civil servants in the state were affected. All the Benue Civil Servants were either sacked, deposed, or deranked by the orders.
In the new directives given to the Civil Servants in Benue State, Governor Rev fr. Hyacinth Alia ordered that all recent appointments into the State Civil Service made by the outgone administration from May 2022 to date are hereby nullified with immediate effect.
The Governor also gave an order stating that all those who have retired but are yet to vacate their offices or duty post either because of extension or contract appointment are to proceed on retirement forthwith.
In the same order, the Governor directed that all Civil Servants due for retirement but are yet to tender their letters of retirement or notice of retirement should do so forthwith and proceed on retirement immediately.
Also, all Civil Servants and or persons appointed Permanent Secretaries from the month of January 2023 to date were ordered to revert to their previous positions forthwith.
Lastly, Governor Hyacinth Alia directed that all the postings and transfers made in the state civil service from October 2022, to date are hereby nullified. The affected staff should revert to their former ranks, stations, or offices with immediate effect.
