Full List and Becoming of All Federal Agencies Scrapped by Tinubu Amidst Effort to Recover Nigeria
Bola Ahmed Tinubu
Amidst continuous efforts by the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to recover the lost economic glory of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the President ordered immediate scraping of some Federal agencies which would be merged with existing agencies.

The President endorsed the resolutions reached by the Federal Executive Councils at their meeting, today, in Abuja, purposely to cut the cost of governance.

It could be recalled that the recommendation to merge some of the federal agencies is contained in the Oronsanye Report, submitted to the former President of the country, Goodluck Jonathan, in 2012.

According to the report, Nigeria has over 541 government parastatals, commissions, and agencies, many of which have overlapping functions and responsibilities.

The panel’s recommendations include the abolition of 12 agencies and the merging of 38 others.

Some of the agencies and parastatals that will be affected by the implementation of the report include the National Poverty Eradication Programme (NAPEP), the National Salaries, Incomes, and Wages Commission (NSIWC), and the National Sports Commission (NSC).

Although since the news of the resolution gained entrance into the public, many citizens have endorsed the decision taken by the President, claiming that the bold step would help to reduce the cost of governance in the country, however, people remain nervous about knowing the exact agencies that the axe of the order would cut off the existential list.

Below is the full list of all the Federal agencies that would be scrapped following the resolutions of the Federal Executive Council.
