Pastor Ezekiel in Police Custody Pastor Ezekiel Odero has yet again suffered a huge blow after the recent ruling by the High Court that was delivered on Monday, May 15, 2023.
The High Court in Mombasa has rejected Pastor Ezekiel Odero's request to unfreeze his more than 15 bank accounts. The various accounts hold tens of millions in total and the man of God will not be able to access the cash for sometime.
High Court Judge Olga Sewe described the application as completely misguided and unsustainable.
On May 3, Odero approached the High Court in Mombasa seeking interim measures to halt the government from freezing his personal and church bank accounts. However, the court dismissed this application.
In addition, the court has also dismissed his other application requesting the release of his TV license back. The judge ruled that the petitioners should have first pursued all available legal avenues with the Communication Authority before resorting to court action. Odero is being linked to the Shakahola cult that has so far claimed the lives of over 200 kenyans.
Ezekiel will now be forced to wait for the completion of the case so as to be able to start airing his sermons and teachings on live TV again as well as access his money and that of the church.
