Bola Tinubu and Muhammadu Buhari Recently, Nigerian President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu announced his intention to embark on vacation after the keenly contested presidential election in the Federal Republic of Nigeria where he emerged the winner.
While the post election agitation is still yet to be calmed, the outgoing President of the country and the incoming president were sighted whining and dining on the same table in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
This is encouraging, progressive and at the same time challenging. This is the first time Nigeria would be having an election won by a presidential candidate without a convinced support of the Federal Government and the Executive cabinet in power.
However, President Buhari and President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu are in Mecca observing lesser hajj. The challenges are:
Since there is still agitation going on to stop the swearing-in of Bola Tinubu by the camp of the Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, could it be that the President and the President-elect are out for perfecting the transition courses?
Was their meeting in Saudi Arabia just a mere coincidence because they are Muslims or there is more to it?
Is their meeting in Saudi Arabia a
sign of ease" for Nigeria, as this marks the first time that things like these happen in Nigeria where a sitting President maintains neutrality in an election and still parly with the winner of the poll?
How do you see the Saudi Arabia parly between President Muhammadu Buhari and the President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
